Why haven't we seen the BEST of Ryan Babel at Liverpool FC yet ?

i was a dedicated supporter of babel when he arrived, but food for thought is that maybe we have seen the best of babel. maybe what we thought was potential was actually his plateau. he shows flashes of brilliance but his decision making is poor, dribbling when he should p , errant pes when he does p, and not clinical enough in goal. yes he would prefer to play through the centre, but good players make use of the opportunities that are given to them and so far he hasn't done so. It's been 2.5 seasons, i think that's enough time for development. when i think of how babel has failed to deliver i tink of benayoun who hasn't always been a first teamer but took his opportunities last season and is now playing regularly.
