Why does my Sony Vegas Pro keep freezing on Initializing UI?

I recently got Sony Vegas Pro for my birthday. Through my computer died yesterday, my dad fixed it and it deleted Sony Vegas. I still had the activation code and I reinstalled it, but this time, it won't load it where I can edit movies. What do I do?
