How long should the first period after birth be?

It could last from a week to 3 weeks.. or more.. mine lasted 2 weeks after I gave birth to my son.. it's all the buildup throughout the pregnancy releasing out of your system finally.. so it's normal for it to last a long time, or even be short.... it varies
