Would you take a job you would hate?

Yesterday, I went on a 2nd interview, after speaking with a few people and learning more details about the Sales Admin. it turned out that 80% of the job is to make sales calls, selling and meeting a quota each day, this part of the position itself is not for me, the admin work is about 20% of the job but the pay is decent, very close to home. I am currently on a 1 & 1/2 year temp ignment with Oracle right now, it won't go perm but it's good pay and do not want to give it up for something I would hate. Now would you take a job, knowing you would end up disliking your job in the end, just to have a perm. job, to work close to home because of today's economy in fear nothing else will come along, I feel I'm screwed either way I decide which I have to decide by Noon today. The position itself is not what I'd be happy doing, I'm not at all a Sales person and would not want to make calls with "Don't take No for an answer" approach. I didn't even fill out an app and they are not doing a background check or calling refs., does this mean a lot of people had the job already? Tks much.
